Our client is a rapidly growing N. Dallas Distribution firm with an ever expanding business footprint. To keep up with client demand, our client is seeking to add an Operations Manager to their leadership team.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Manage the operation and staff involved in the production room, warehouse and custodial functions
  • Coordinate production schedules to ensure the timely flow of materials and to maintain adequate levels of inventory needed to complete projected sales orders.
  • Create and maintain departmental SOP’s to ensure compliance with quality control standards
  • Estimate personnel needs and assigned work to meet completion dates in accordance with schedules
  • Provide guidance and direction to employees in the resolution of problems encountered daily
  • Evaluate and recommend improvement in methods and procedures in assigned area of responsibility
  • Familiarize employees with established organization procedures, rules and policies
  • Thorough knowledge of all related departmental duties in the operation
  • Recognize and implement cost saving initiatives
  • Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership to and review the work of assigned staff
  • Outstanding attention to detail and thorough documentation of production team is mandatory
  • Must be able to set priorities and work under tight project timelines
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Use of personal vehicle for office supply runs or other tasks assigned by executive staff.


  • College Degree preferred but not required.
  • At least 5 years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of 3 years in managing a staff of at least 10+ employees
  • Note: this is not an entry level supervisor position – candidate must have been a supervisor and a manager (with supervisors as direct reports)
  • Assembly line equipment calibration experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to write and prepare clear, concise reports, and business correspondence
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
