Description

Position Summary

This Technical roll will provide manufacturing technical assistance to the Extrusion, Conversion, and Logistics departments. Coordinate production activities and direct people utilization efforts for deployment of plant Continuous Improvements, EHS and Operating Agenda. Serve as a resource and information conduit for the operations partners. Mentor partners in the area of safety, productivity, waste elimination, 5S and conflict resolution.

 

Basic Responsibilities

 

       Provide leadership to promote safety as a base pillar

       Balance Available Partners to achieve positive results in all areas

       Ensure all products conform to specifications

       Perform periodic audits of operational, quality and food safety processes to monitor and maintain effectiveness

       Provide change leadership and ensure effective employee relations

        Coach, and counsel the operations partners

        Completion of paperwork to records

        Complete Accident investigations for all near misses, property damage, first aid, medical treatment and Environmental incidents.

        Quality Identification to resolution (root cause & Corrective Action).

 

 

 

Specific Duties

       Ensure all partners are wearing all required PPE

       Perform EHS audits as assigned

       Provide daily summaries of quality and production performance to Extrusion and Conversion Managers

       Participate in team activities to improve safety, quality and production

       Insure training documentation is kept up-to-date

 

 

Authorities

       Makes decisions on personnel work

       Determine need to send personnel home or contact on basis of mis-conduct for further investigation by the management team.

       Safety (reporting near misses and other incident types)

       Delivery (running product in accordance with work orders and production needs)

       Cost control thru personnel utilization to minimize overtime.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Knowledge and skills

       Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant work experience

       Computer skills including basic statistics

       2 year degree OR equivalent company job specific work experience
