Description

Tulsa based company currently seeking experienced combo welders to start ASAP.

Come apply NOW and we will get you set up with a weld test ASAP! The test is a 2G Mig root/fill/cap and 2G Tig root/Flux fill/cap on carbon steel.

COMPENSATION:

$21.50/hour 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Utilizing Mig, Tig, Fluxcore and Sub Arc welding machines, arc welders, torches, burning machines, shape cutters, welding positioners, overhead cranes, and assorted hand tools, produces TDW parts in accordance with blueprint specifications.

2. Produces parts from raw materials in round or flat form, finished or partially finished components, filler wire, rod and braze materials, and cutting and shielding gases.

3. Works from blueprints, WPS manuals, sketches and oral instructions to plan and lay out work.

4. Secures necessary jigs and fixtures, filler rods and/or wire to properly perform welding operations on a variety of metals and alloys.

5. Makes stringer or root passes, fillers and covers, etc. Works to blueprint tolerances.

6. Utilizes standard types of welding machines to make x-ray quality welds by several welding processes. Works from a variety of positions.

7. De-seams (using a carbon arc torch), brushes, cleans and grinds as required. Performs minor repairs and adjustments of equipment.

8. Must maintain a clean, orderly work area.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1. Two years x-ray quality welding in all four of the following welding procedures: MIG, TIG, SAW and FCAW.

2. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

3. Ability to read blueprints and make fit-ups to blueprint tolerances.

4. Knowledge of Mig, Tig, and Sub Arc welding machines, arc-welders, torches, positioners, cranes and assorted hand tools.

5. Medium and heavy lifting required, generally up to 50 pounds, to be performed in conformance to TDW safety regulations. Awkward working positions (inside pipes).

6. Ability to work 2nd and weekend shift hours.
