Continuously growing company in Collinsville is hiring vessel welders. Below are the qualifications/job duties needed:

 

Compensation:

$19.00-24.00 per hr.

 

Shift:

Mon-Thurs.

6:00am-4:30pm

4:30pm-3:00am

 

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

 

Perform and/or assist in departmental welding activities as directed by departmental supervisor on PRESSURE VESSELS

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Under supervision, assist in the planned daily activities.
  • Participate in pre and post planned readiness of parts and tools, for planned fit up and welding activities.
  • Developing an understanding of departmental operating procedures as well as job task procedures.
  • Developing an understanding of ASME code requirements on all vessel related jobs.
  • If applicable job scope to encompass welding in the following process if directed by departmental foreman (FCAW,GMAW).
  • Developing an understanding in the interpretation of blue print reading.
  • Participate in Operational Excellence teams.
  • Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within job scope.
  • Responsible for all actions/responsibilities as required by the departmental foreman.

 

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

 

·       Perform other duties as assigned

 

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·       Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

·       (3) years of  manufacturing experience in VESSEL related functions.

·       Mathematically inclined.

·       Ability to use numerous hand tools (POWERED AND MANUAL)

·       Certified according to ASME code in the following welding process (FCAW, GMAW).

·       Complete knowledge of blue print interpretation.                            

    (EX: DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN FILLET AND J-GROOVE WELD)

·       Able to attend training courses as assigned.

·       Ability to work any shift.
